Job Title/Position: Leadership Talent Acquisition Partner
Location: Remote with some travel (preferred to sit in Texas, Missouri, Ohio, or Indiana)
Reports To: Vice President of Talent
About Luminary Hospice:
At Luminary Hospice, we are a mission-driven organization that empowers our team members to shape our culture in order to allow them to provide the highest quality support to patients and families throughout their entire end-of-life journey.
Our mission is to deliver personalized care that radiates compassion and preserves dignity for all that we are honored to serve on their end-of-life journey. We are centered on caring for the whole person – with expert medical care, pain management as well as emotional and spiritual support along with resources, information, and emotional support for families and caregivers.
About the role:
The Leadership Talent Acquisition Partner owns full-cycle leadership recruitment across a broad and business-critical mix of roles: agency leadership, clinical and support team roles, along with Hospice Care Consultants (our sales team). This role partners closely with the VP of Talent, regional leadership, and agency operators to build proactive pipelines, reduce time-to-fill across, and ensure every agency has the leadership, clinical capacity, and sales coverage needed to sustain quality patient care and support continued growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership Recruitment
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for agency leadership roles
- Partner with the VP of Talent and regional/agency leadership to understand staffing needs, org design, and succession priorities as the agency count grows.
- Build and maintain proactive, hospice-specific leadership pipelines and talent maps ahead of need, rather than reacting solely to open requisitions.
- Support new-market and de novo agency launches by building leadership pipelines ahead of agency openings.
Hospice Care Consultant (Sales) Recruitment
- Own full-cycle recruitment for Hospice Care Consultant roles — the community- and referral-facing sales team responsible for census growth.
- Partner with sales leadership to define ideal candidate profiles, territory needs, and ramp expectations for a healthcare sales role.
- Build consistent sourcing channels for healthcare/medical sales talent (e.g., pharma, DME, home health, senior living sales backgrounds) across all four states.
Cross-Functional
- Source passive candidates through targeted outreach, industry networks, hospice/home health associations, LinkedIn Recruiter, and referral generation.
- Screen, assess, and present qualified candidates across all three talent groups, evaluating competency, licensure/credentials where applicable, and cultural fit with Luminary Hospice's mission and values.
- Manage the interview process end-to-end: scheduling, structured interview guides, debriefs, reference checks, and offer strategy in partnership with hiring leaders.
- Own and report key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source of hire, offer acceptance rate) by talent group to the VP of Talent.
- Serve as a market expert on hospice talent trends and compensation benchmarks — leadership, clinical, and sales — across the four-state footprint.
- Coordinate closely with credentialing, compliance, and onboarding teams to ensure smooth, compliant transitions for incoming hires (state licensure requirements vary by state).
- Champion an outstanding candidate experience and represent Luminary Hospice's employer brand throughout the hiring process.
- Travel to agencies and industry events across Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Missouri as needed for on-site interviews, hiring events, and relationship-building.
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across a mix of leadership, clinical, and/or sales roles.
- Experience recruiting within hospice and have a network of hospice leadership.
- Comfort recruiting across distinct hiring profiles simultaneously — executive-level leadership, licensed clinical staff, and quota-carrying sales talent — and tailoring sourcing/assessment approach to each.
- Proven ability to source and close passive candidates in a competitive healthcare labor market.
- Strong business acumen and comfort acting as a talent advisor to operating and sales leaders, not just an order-taker.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working across multiple states and time zones.
- Proficiency with an ATS (Greenhouse) and LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools.
- Ability to travel across Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Missouri and any added markets.
