Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead ServiceNow Software Engineer to join our enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) team. This role is perfect for a technical leader with extensive ServiceNow experience, capable of driving complex implementations and integrations from business requirements through architecture, development, deployment, and production support. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and enterprise workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis, design, architecture, development, implementation, and support of complex ServiceNow solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across solution architecture, technical design decisions, and development execution.
- Mentor junior and intermediate developers in various development aspects.
- Serve as a ServiceNow subject matter expert for platform support and production stability.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, QA, security, and other stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Contribute to platform governance, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of automation and modern technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering or enterprise application development experience.
- 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, APIs, and integrations.
- 7+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform architecture and workflows.
- 5+ years of experience leading ServiceNow development teams or serving as a hands-on technical lead.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and release management.
- Ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate effectively across large enterprises.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9+ years of software engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with .NET, SQL, and related technologies.
- ITIL certification and/or ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM).
- Experience leading technical design across multiple ServiceNow product areas.
- Experience with API-driven and integration-heavy solutions using modern technologies.
- Experience with Automated Test Framework (ATF), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with SaaS, low-code, or no-code platforms.
- Experience in enterprise service workflows and AI-assisted automation.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow upgrades and platform modernization initiatives.
Work Environment: This is a hybrid position combining remote work with onsite collaboration as needed. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are required to operate effectively within our large enterprise technology environment.
