Forum One is looking for a Lead Product Strategist, Public Sector to help our federal clients define, shape, and deliver digital products and services that meet both user and organizational needs.

In this role, you’ll serve as a digital product strategy lead and Product Owner across federal government digital modernization projects. You’ll work alongside Technical Architects, Project Directors, and cross-functional teams to establish a clear product vision that guides solution design, feature prioritization, and execution. You’ll work directly with clients and delivery teams to lead product discovery, requirements definition, user story mapping, roadmap development, and Agile backlog management.

We’re looking for someone who can see the big picture while also getting into the details—helping clients make informed product decisions and translating complex needs into clear priorities for delivery teams.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a trusted product advisor throughout the product development lifecycle, helping clients establish a digital product vision and carry that vision through delivery.
• Develop product roadmaps, success metrics, product briefs, and other resources that create alignment around goals and priorities.
• Help clients prioritize the highest-value outcomes based on program goals, user needs, technical considerations, and project constraints.
• Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure product scope and priorities align with contractual requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Champion user-centered methodologies and lean product approaches to help teams navigate priorities and trade-offs.
• Serve as a product strategy lead and embedded or surrogate Product Owner, guiding clients through feature prioritization and product decisions.
• Lead discovery, user research synthesis, and requirements gathering, translating complex business and user needs into structured product specifications and epics.
• Translate client needs into actionable technical requirements and feature specifications for large-scale Drupal digital transformation and cloud implementations.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new digital services and capabilities, including artificial intelligence and large language model applications.
• Own and prioritize product backlogs in Jira and Confluence, translating strategic goals into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint plans.
• Lead backlog refinement, story mapping, and sprint planning with cross-functional development teams.
• Validate that delivered features meet quality, usability, design, and product expectations before release.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of experience in digital product strategy, product management, or a related field, including experience leading or supporting federal technology, CMS, cloud, or web modernization projects.
• Experience working on large-scale digital transformation initiatives and web CMS platforms, including Drupal and Acquia.
• Familiarity with AI integration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security frameworks such as FedRAMP, WAF, and CDNs.
• Strong understanding of federal contracting environments, including FFP, IDIQs, and FAR/DFARS, and how product management operates within fixed-scope government contracts.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex digital products on time and within scope.
• Strong communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of digital product strategy, product management, or related experience leading or supporting federal technology, CMS, cloud, or web modernization projects.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, security clearances, internal equity, and the responsibilities of the position.
