Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of manufacturing processes for composite hardware.
- Lead and provide technical direction to projects with critical business impact.
- Design and develop mold tooling.
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and mentorship to new engineers in function.
- Drive rigor for documentation of projects and lessons learned.
- Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools.
- Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering or related program + Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes for composite hardware.
- OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Chemical, etc. + Minimum of 3 years experience in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Chemical.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Desired Characteristics and Experience
- Previous experience in composites manufacturing (i.e.: Braiding & Weaving technology, Ply shape development, Prepreg hand layup, Resin Injection Molding, Autoclave and/or press curing).
- Experience operating within Quality Systems (Ex: AS9100, NADCAP).
- Skilled in the use of CAD modeling software (Unigraphics preferred).
- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
- Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
- Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.
- Able to work on shop floor and interface between floor operators and engineering
- Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
