Your responsibilities
What you bring
- Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Optical Engineering, Laser Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
- Experimental expertise across ultrafast-laser sources — diode-pumped solid-state, short-pulse and fiber lasers and amplifiers — and their diagnostics.
- Practical experience with optical alignment, laser operation, and laboratory troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in optical frequency combs and their stabilization
- Hands-on experience with high-finesse optical cavities — alignment, locking, mode-matching, and finesse/loss optimization
- Practical experience with locking electronics and feedback/servo loops
- Programming and data-analysis skills (e.g. Python) for measurement automation and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to technical challenges
- A hands-on, self-driven and collaborative working style — you enjoy digging into complex problems with attention to detail in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
