- Lead requirements discussions for controls features, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to define system-level and software-level requirements.
- Design algorithms to meet product-level and system-level requirements. Lead the development of control algorithms that improve turbine performance, reduce mechanical loading, ensure grid compliance, and maintain high availability.
- Implement and validate control algorithms in the loads simulation environment and on the GE MarkVIe PLC, following product requirements flow-down.
- Independently investigate and analyze complex controls issues occurring in the fleet of installed turbines and develop corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Loads and Validation teams to assess the impact of controls strategies on mechanical loads through simulation and measurement data analysis.
- Provide wind turbine controls expertise across all phases of product development, from requirements definition through design, validation, and life-cycle support.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders through technical reports, presentations, and records.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the controller development and loads simulation infrastructure
