Job Summary:

Process all clean linen in Production Department by means of hand fold or production finishing equipment. Able to properly identify, inspect, and sort all linen during the folding and finishing process. Ability to meet production standards. General knowledge of all accounts served and able to perform various duties assigned in Production Area and other areas as required.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Operate production finishing equipment * Feed any flatwork linens into the ironers/folders either manually or by automatic feeder. * Remove stained and torn linens from circulation and place respective baskets. * Fold, sort, and stack linens and place on storage linen racks. * Maintain appropriate production standards. Operate small piece folders * Feed linens into small piece folders. * Ensure machine has been set for the folding of the product being fed. * Remove stained and torn linens from circulation and place respective baskets. * Maintain appropriate production standards. Work in hand folding area * Manually hand fold any linens not fed through a folder. * Ensure standard folding method is used. * Remove stained and torn linens from circulation and place respective baskets. * Maintain appropriate production standards. Operate conveyor system * Remove and stack all linens fed onto belts by folders. * Ensure stacks are neat and organized. * Remove stained and torn linens from circulation and place respective baskets. * Maintain appropriate production standards. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma / GED General-Preferred

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Health care Laundry experience Preferred

Required Minimum Skills:

Must be able to operate equipment, count, and understand instructions given by supervisory staff. Able to communicate effectively.
