The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Key Account Manager (m/f/*) for Priority Vertical Market of IATD (Industrial Adhesive & Tapes Division) at 3M Italy, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Manage and develop strategic key accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Identify growth opportunities and execute account development plans
• Leading automation process of adhesives and tapes in key customers
• Support complex projects in collaboration with technical, marketing, and operational teams
• Lead annual Account Planning, including forecasting and performance tracking
• Ensure effective pipeline management through consistent CRM usage
• Analyze sales data to drive insights and recommend actions

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics or equivalent experience in business-to-end‑user sales
• From 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B key account management
• Knowledge of industrial or technical markets
• Knowledge of industrial/chemical products, preferably adhesives and tapes
• Strong communication, negotiation, prospecting and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead complex initiatives
• Excellent English
• Knowledge of CRM systems (ideally Salesforce)
• Willingness to travel frequently with overnight stays

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Knowledge in adhesives and tapes automation process application
• EAS (European Adhesive Specialist) certification
• Familiarity with AI tools and concepts

Job specifics:

• Ideal candidate location: Piedmont, Liguria. Candidates from other locations in North West Italy will also be considered.
• Travel expectations: 70% of the time for F2F customer visit (domestic, mainly in North Italy but as per business needs occasionally at National level)
• Field based role
• Working pattern: full time
• The position is classified at level Impiegato B2 under the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry (Industria).
• The gross annual remuneration envisaged for the role ranges between € 70.000 and € 75.000.The determination of the final starting remuneration within this range will be agreed taking into account the Company's organizational context, the provisions of the applicable CCNL, and objective and gender-neutral criteria, including professional qualifications, relevant work experience, skills and competencies possessed, and the level of responsibility associated with the position.
• The position may also provide access to a variable remuneration component of up to 30% of the gross annual remuneration, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the applicable Company incentive scheme.Additional benefits and allowances may be granted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, the relevant CCNL, and the Company policies and programmes in force at the commencement of employment.
