Ready to start your career in digital marketing? At Picnic, you’ll get the opportunity to develop into an expert in one of the most important areas of digital growth: our website and organic search. We’re looking for someone early in their marketing career who is curious, analytical and eager to learn. Maybe you’ve completed a marketing internship, worked on digital campaigns, or created content for a website. What matters most is that you’re excited about digital marketing and want to understand what makes people discover and choose a brand online.

You’ll join an international team and learn how to grow Picnic’s website into an important customer acquisition channel. Along the way, you’ll build hands-on experience in organic growth, content, website optimization and digital analytics.

Tricks of the trade

• Understand what customers are looking for: Research how customers discover brands online and identify opportunities for Picnic to reach them with useful and relevant content.
• Grow our organic traffic: Help increase Picnic’s visibility across Google search and AI search.
• Improve our website: Work with developers, designers and copywriters to implement improvements to our website.
• Create better content: Help optimize existing pages and develop new content that is useful for our customers.
• Turn data into action: Use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Semrush to measure the results of your work and identify new opportunities.
• Experiment and learn: Come up with ideas, test them, analyze the results, and use what you learn to make the next improvement. Develop your organic growth expertise over time.

Your superpowers

• MSc. degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
• Up to 1 year of hands-on digital marketing experience
• Fluent in Dutch and English. French or German is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with an interest in working with data and performance metrics. 
• Proficient in using Google Sheets, Excel or any other data tool to analyze and present insights
• Passionate about using AI to automate, simplify, and improve everyday marketing tasks
• Eager to learn and develop your digital marketing expertise
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong affinity in the consumer retail industry
