Responsibilities:

SAP Landscape Administration

• Administer and maintain SAP S/4HANA systems across Development, Quality, Sandbox, and Production environments.

• Perform SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations.

• Configure and maintain SAP application servers.

• Manage SAP kernel upgrades and patches.

• Administer SAP HANA databases in collaboration with database administrators.

• Maintain SAP profiles and instance parameters.

• Monitor overall system health and availability.

SAP S/4HANA Lifecycle Management

• Manage the complete lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA systems from implementation through upgrades and decommissioning.

• Support system conversion projects (ECC to S/4HANA).

• Execute Feature Pack Stack (FPS) and Support Package Stack (SPS) upgrades.

• Coordinate system refreshes and client copies.

• Plan and execute SAP release upgrades.

• Maintain compatibility with SAP's product roadmap and support strategy.

SAP HANA Administration

• Monitor SAP HANA database performance.

• Manage HANA backups and recovery.

• Perform database maintenance activities.

• Monitor memory utilization and CPU performance.

• Optimize database parameters.

• Coordinate HANA revisions and updates.

• Troubleshoot database-related issues.

Transport Management

• Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS).

• Coordinate transport requests across system landscapes.

• Validate transport dependencies.

• Ensure transport governance and compliance.

• Support emergency transport procedures.

• Monitor transport queues and resolve failures.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitor SAP system performance.

• Analyse workload statistics.

• Optimize system response times.

• Monitor background jobs.

• Tune SAP application servers.

• Analyse performance bottlenecks.

• Support performance testing during projects.

System Monitoring

• Proactively monitor:

  • System availability

  • Background jobs

  • RFC connections

  • Update processes

  • Work processes

  • Spool systems

  • Interface queues

  • File systems

  • Disk utilization

  • Memory usage

  • CPU utilization

• Resolve issues before they impact business operations.

Security Administration

• Support SAP security administration.

• Maintain user administration.

• Coordinate role transports.

• Manage Single Sign-On (SSO).

• Support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

• Implement SAP Security Notes.

• Ensure compliance with internal security standards.

• Participate in audit activities.

Patch Management

• Apply:

  • SAP Support Packages

  • Kernel patches

  • HANA revisions

  • Security Notes

  • Operating System patches

• Validate successful implementation.

Cloud Administration

SAP RISE

• Cloud resource monitoring.

• Infrastructure coordination.

• Storage management.

• High availability.

• Disaster recovery.

SAP Fiori Administration

• Configure SAP Fiori Launchpad.

• Maintain SAP Gateway.

• Support Fiori catalogs and groups.

• Monitor Fiori performance.

• Troubleshoot SAPUI5 issues.

• Coordinate Fiori upgrades.

Automation and Continuous Improvement

• Automate routine BASIS activities.

• Develop monitoring scripts.

• Improve operational efficiency.

• Standardize administration procedures.

• Recommend infrastructure improvements.

• Support DevOps initiatives where applicable.

Incident, Problem, and Change Management

• Resolve BASIS-related incidents within agreed SLAs.

• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.

• Support problem management activities.

• Implement approved changes.

• Participate in CAB meetings.

• Maintain change documentation.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

• Maintain technical documentation.

• Update system architecture diagrams.

• Document operational procedures.

• Create standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Maintain disaster recovery documentation.

• Contribute to the organizational knowledge base.

Compliance and Governance

• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Maintain system documentation.

• Ensure adherence to IT governance policies.

• Monitor licensing compliance.

• Implement operational standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation and support engagements.
• Sound understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
• Hands-on experience working with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
• Strong expertise in SAP BASIS administration and operations.
• Working knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform and cloud-based development concepts.
• Good understanding of general IT infrastructure concepts and operations.
• Good understanding of enterprise applications and business process concepts.
• Experience in debugging, error analysis, and troubleshooting using SDK tools.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
