Location: Various APM Terminals locations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East

Home terminal location: To be determined based on business needs, candidate suitability, and mobility preferences.

This role requires a high degree of global mobility and the ability to support deployments across multiple terminals and Shared Planning Centers. Candidate location preferences will be taken into consideration where possible.

About the BIM Team

The Business Implementation Management (BIM) team is responsible for delivering APM Terminals’ strategic growth agenda, including greenfield developments, expansions, upgrades, and integrations. BIM ensures that new and transforming terminals are delivered and integrated in a consistent way, applying APMT standards and enabling safe, efficient, and scalable operations from day one.

About the BIM Rapid Deployment Team

The BIM Rapid Deployment Team is an internal initiative designed to create a deployable pool of experienced operational leaders and future talent who can support critical phases of project execution, especially during pre- and post- go-live.

As part of this programme, you will operate from a home terminal in a real operational role while being deployable to BIM projects globally. Over the span of this assignment, you will contribute both to daily operations and to project execution, ensuring continuity, operational discipline, and capability build in new and transforming terminals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site IT readiness and implementation for ramp-up, go-live, and stabilisation phases, ensuring systems support operational execution from day one
• Assess and communicate IT prerequisites and gaps, aligning local and global teams to close gaps effectively
• Support implementation of FLOW IT tools, TOS integrations, and system configurations in new or transforming terminals
• Provide hands-on technical coordination in high-pressure environments, ensuring continuity of IT services and rapid issue resolution
• Adjust and track IT implementation plans, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with project delivery milestones
• Support setup of IT processes and governance, including incident management, escalation paths, and system support structures
• Enable capability transfer to local teams, providing training, guidance, and support on systems and tools
• Fill critical short-term capability gaps in IT, system integration, and operational technology environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation, sharing learnings and supporting development of global IT practices
• Act as a role model of APMT values, demonstrating collaboration, discipline, and adaptability across diverse environments

Core Responsibilities (Terminal – business as usual)

• Support implementation and operation of IT systems and solutions (including TOS, infrastructure, and integrations) to enable stable terminal performance
• Assess IT requirements, system dependencies, and infrastructure readiness to support operational and project needs
• Coordinate and track IT activities, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and project timelines
• Support execution of IT lifecycle activities, including system configuration, testing, deployment, and issue resolution
• Monitor IT performance and identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities impacting operations
• Collaborate with global and local IT, Operations, and Planning teams to ensure integrated system delivery
• Support documentation of IT processes, workflows, and system requirements
• Provide user support and guidance on IT tools, ensuring effective system utilisation
  

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in IT implementation, infrastructure, or system deployment roles, preferably in industrial, logistics, or terminal environments, supported by a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Strong understanding of IT systems supporting operations, including TOS, infrastructure, integrations, and operational technology environments
• Experience in system implementation and deployment, including testing, configuration, and go-live support
• Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who applies structured problem-solving, identifies system gaps, and drives improvements in IT performance and operational support
• Strong understanding of project delivery and coordination, with ability to manage timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional inputs
• Experience working with IT support processes and service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) is an advantage
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with ability to resolve system issues and translate technical challenges into operational impacts
• Ability to collaborate across IT, Operations, Planning, and external vendors to ensure aligned delivery
• Strong communication skills, with ability to engage both technical and operational stakeholders
• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, high-pressure, and evolving environments, particularly during project deployments
• High level of mobility and adaptability, with willingness to support global deployments across terminals and Shared Planning Centers
• Fluent English is required. Additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French or other relevant international languages) are an asset.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 40-50% of the time to support project deployments, go-lives, stabilisation activities, and terminal transformation initiatives across the APM Terminals network.
