JOB PURPOSE
The IT Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery, optimization, and governance of enterprise applications across the Group, with a primary focus on the successful implementation and adoption of SAP S/4HANA under Project Atlas in the role of ITBP (IT Business Partner) for RTR (Record to Report) workstream.
This role acts as a techno-functional bridge between business and IT, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into scalable, standardized, and high-quality solutions. The position works closely with BPOs, other ITBPs, business stakeholders, and system integrators to ensure that SAP and other enterprise applications are aligned with the Group’s To-Be processes, properly integrated, and successfully deployed across multiple countries.
The role plays a critical part in strengthening execution discipline, ensuring solution quality, supporting business readiness, and enabling long-term sustainability of SAP and the broader applications landscape.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project & Implementation Support
- Support and actively drive the execution of IT application initiatives across the Group, with priority focus on SAP S/4HANA (Project Atlas).
- Participate in all phases of SAP implementation including design, build, testing (UAT), deployment, hypercare, and stabilization.
- Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and timelines, ensuring proper follow-up and escalation when required.
- Coordinate across business teams, IT, and system integrators to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Support cutover planning and execution activities, ensuring system readiness for go-live across countries.
- Prepare and consolidate project status updates and reports for IT leadership.
Application Analysis & Solution Support
- Perform techno-functional analysis of business requirements, ensuring strong alignment with SAP S/4HANA capabilities and Group To-Be processes.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications across SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Collaborate in solution design discussions, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices and minimizing unnecessary customization.
- Validate proposed solutions from system integrators, ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment with architecture standards.
- Support preparation of functional and technical documentation required for implementation.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs while maintaining system integrity and standardization.
Interfaces & Integrations Support
- Analyze and support integration requirements between SAP and other enterprise systems (POS, payroll, finance tools, etc.).
- Ensure proper understanding of data flows, dependencies, and end-to-end process integration across systems.
- Collaborate with technical teams to review and validate interface designs, mappings, and integration approaches.
- Support coordination of integration activities across all lifecycle phases (design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare).
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure integrations are properly documented, tested, and aligned with IT standards for data integrity and performance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a key operational point of contact for system integrators and vendors, particularly for SAP implementation activities.
- Work closely with BPOs, ITBPs, and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and solution alignment.
- Coordinate and challenge vendors to ensure quality delivery, adherence to timelines, and accountability.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
Governance & Process Support
- Support the implementation and enforcement of IT governance processes, including Incident, Request, Change, and Release Management.
- Ensure SAP and other applications comply with Group IT standards, architecture guidelines, and security policies.
- Contribute to maintaining proper documentation, controls, and audit readiness across applications.
- Support adherence to standardized processes and prevent unnecessary deviations from the SAP template.
Testing, Change & Business Readiness Support
- Support UAT activities, including test scenario definition, execution follow-up, and defect analysis.
- Contribute to business readiness activities, ensuring users are prepared to operate SAP and other systems effectively.
- Support change management efforts by ensuring system impacts are clearly communicated and understood.
- Assist in training preparation and knowledge transfer from a system usage perspective.
- Ensure alignment between system capabilities and actual business execution at the local level.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
- Identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities related to SAP and other enterprise applications.
- Support definition and follow-up of mitigation actions, ensuring visibility and proper escalation.
- Monitor system performance and usage, identifying optimization opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, and better system utilization.
- Contribute to strengthening execution discipline and reducing delivery bottlenecks across projects.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish (mandatory).
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations (Finance/RTR highly preferred).
- Proven experience in end-to-end SAP project lifecycle (Explore to Hypercare).
- Strong understanding of business processes (RTR, MTI, PTP, QTC).
- Solid knowledge of system integrations (APIs, web services, data flows).
- Experience working with enterprise applications ecosystems (SAP and non-SAP).
- Ability to review, validate, and challenge technical and functional solutions.
- Strong understanding of data structures, master data, and transactional processes.

- 10+ years of experience in IT applications, system implementations, or ERP environments.
- 6+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (required).
- Experience in ERP transformation programs is highly preferred.
- Experience working with system integrators and external vendors.
- Experience in regional or multi-country environments is a plus.
Travel requirements
The position requires occasional domestic and international travel.
