Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute shutdown and turnaround scopes including structural repairs, steel installation, retrofits, and equipment setting
• Perform rigging, hoisting, and alignment of structural components and mechanical equipment
• Complete bolt-up, torquing, and connection work to meet outage specifications
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and work packages to ensure accurate execution
• Support critical path work while adapting to shifting priorities and tight timelines
• Work within permit systems, lift plans, and safety procedures including LOTO requirements
• Maintain productivity and quality during extended shifts and compressed outage schedules
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
   

Qualifications:

• Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Ironworker certification
• Experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage maintenance in oil & gas or heavy industrial environments
• Strong skills in rigging, structural steel installation, and equipment setting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience working in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments
• Willingness to work 10–12+ hour shifts, overtime, and consecutive days during shutdowns
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Working Conditions:

• Travel provided
• Various shifts available

• Weekly payment of wages

Compensation & Schedule:

• Base Wage: $36.77 to $52.53/hour (per existing CLAC agreement and applicable trade verification)
• Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours/week
• Schedule: 24 days on / 4 days off or 6 days on / 1 day off
• Hours: 12 hours/day
• Camp accommodation provided
• Flights from Edmonton or Calgary
• CLAC Benefits & Pension
