Your mission : 

An internship opportunity titled Intern- Structures has just opened at Airbus India located in Bengaluru. You will join the Structures department.

Ideally, this is a 6 months internship and it should start in Jan 2027 (date subject to flexibility). 

Your main missions will consist of : 

Assessing the static and dynamic strengths using Structural Analysis including Stress, Fatigue, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Thermal analysis to evaluate the structural integrity of the aircraft for the gamut of loads aircrafts are subjected to

Detect unforeseen structural design issues and recommend structural design modifications during the aircraft development

Support certification of the aircrafts by derisking certification tests

Carrying out Root Cause Analysis and support resolving inservice issues

Use simulations to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes

Develop new simulation methods to make simulations more credible

Automating simulation lifecycle processes to reduce manual efforts and simulation timelines

Explore digitization techniques such as AI / ML to augment simulations

Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills 

This internship will allow you to develop the following skills: 

● Practical application of structural analysis on aerospace components

● Exposure to simulation and lifecycle automation tools

● Collaboration within a transnational engineering environment

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.

You possess the following competences: 

- Technical skills : 

- Foundational knowledge of Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, Stress, and Fatigue analysis

- Basic familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and simulation techniques

- Understanding of programming/scripting (e.g., Python) or AI/ML concepts for process automation is a plus

- Soft Skills : 

- Passion to make a difference to the product through structural simulations

- Ability to work independently & in a transnational setting

- Ability to gel well with colleagues and to be balanced in approach

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Flexibility & adaptability

- Language skills : 

- English: fluent
