Key Responsibilities
You will support the maintenance and engineering teams while developing a practical understanding of terminal equipment and asset management processes. Under supervision, you may:
- Assist with maintenance management activities and initiatives that improve equipment and system performance.
- Support preventive maintenance processes, equipment inspections, troubleshooting activities, and safety practices.
- Help review and improve routine maintenance and repair checklists.
- Assist with data entry, maintenance shift reports, equipment records, and maintenance software updates.
- Apply basic mechanical, electrical, and automation principles while supporting daily operations.
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting efforts and help identify opportunities to reduce repetitive breakdowns and improve reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, safety initiatives, and other assigned learning projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset, curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with a STEM focus, preferably Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Interest in engineering, maintenance, equipment reliability, and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge or experience in control systems, robotics, maintenance, mechanical systems, or electrical systems is preferred.
- Programming knowledge and proficiency with PC applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions in a dynamic operational environment.
Work Schedule: Interns will work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. No overtime.

Interns work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. This position is hourly, non-exempt, and is intended to provide valuable training and work experience for students pursuing academic studies.
