LOCATION
 

This role is based in London Victoria, and offers hybrid working, with majority of the working week in the office. We recommend discussing arrangements with the hiring manager.

THE ROLE
 

Working as part of the Corporate Affairs team, you’ll have the capability, energy and creative flair to develop and implement impactful communications that support our internal communications and engagement strategy, ensuring our strategy, culture and purpose is embedded across the business. 

With experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment, you’ll understand how to inform, engage and motivate our people, using news, content, in-person connection and storytelling as your tools. You’ll be a team player that puts curiosity into action that connects our external activity to our internal audience. You’ll be able to apply strategic, forward thinking and adapt plans according to audience insights and have a strong understanding and interest in the bigger picture.
 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Source, create and deliver compelling news and insightful content that brings our strategy, culture and purpose to life for our employees across the business

• Manage our suite of internal communications channels including our intranet, Landsec Hub – hosted on Sharepoint, our weekly newsletter, The Loop – issued via Dotdigtal, internal digital screens; and the creation of relevant, engaging visual content using Canva.

• Develop and deliver the internal communications calendar and portfolio of internal communications activities, considering reactive news, changing priorities and long-term business objectives.

• Work with the People team to deliver a range of internal initiatives to support employee engagement including recognition, employee survey and other cultural and workplace milestones.

• Work closely with the Digital Communications & Content Executive to align on internal and external communications priorities and opportunities that help drive the Corporate Affairs’ team strategy forward.

• Build strong relationships with people and teams across the business to understand their internal communications needs, guiding them on the suitable approach to support their objectives.

• Be a proactive ambassador for the Corporate Affairs team, role modelling our guiding principles when working with internal and external stakeholders, and act as the team’s key communications contact for our Employee Forum and Affinity networks activities.

• Support teams with the delivery of internal events, including Town Halls and monthly ‘Loop Live’ team presentation and hosting sessions to an in-person and online audience. 

• Support with internal change management programmes as required.

• Work with external suppliers and agencies as required.

• Evaluate performance of content and channels, making recommendations for enhancements based on the data available and in reflection of the Corporate Affairs team strategy
   

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Proven track record of success in internal communications in a fast-paced environment, 2-3+ years in an internal communications role within a corporate communications function preferrable

• Experience of using SharePoint, maintaining Microsoft 365 internal communications channels and implementing the latest platform developments.

• Knowledge of latest internal communication best practices, including evaluation and benchmarking, techniques for building engagement, and current digital communications channels.

• Curious - keen to understand the bigger picture, gathering news, insights and information proactively, enjoys making connections with people and staying informed.

• Ability to deploy a range of analytical techniques to demonstrate impact, engagement and consider most effective communications, content and engagement practices.

• Experience of using communication as an engagement tool to support organisational change and influence positive outcomes.

• Excellent writing capabilities, attention to detail, creativity, project management and organisation. 

• Responsive team player and delivery-focused - able to turn around quality work swiftly with a positive mindset to getting things done. Resilient to changing needs and evolving plans in a business environment.
