Liquid Personnel is recruiting Independent Safeguarding & Reviewing Officer for its client in Wrexham.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring high-quality care planning and safeguarding arrangements for children and young people.

The successful candidate will independently chair and review plans for children subject to Child Protection, Children in Care, and other statutory processes, ensuring that children's voices remain at the heart of decision-making and that plans deliver positive outcomes.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Chair and oversee statutory reviews for Children in Care in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
• Monitor and review Child Protection plans to ensure children remain safeguarded and protected from harm.
• Provide independent scrutiny and challenge where practice or care planning does not meet expected standards.
• Ensure the views, wishes, and feelings of children and young people are central to all reviews and decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, families, carers, and partner agencies to promote best outcomes.
• Escalate concerns through appropriate channels where there are delays or deficiencies in care planning.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and recommendations in line with statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Social Work England registration
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence
• Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent)
• Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Services
• Previous experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer, Child Protection Chair, or within a Quality Assurance/Safeguarding role
