Image Analysis Scientist - Digital Pathology & Histology

Labcorp is seeking an Image Analysis Scientist to join our Global Anatomic Pathology & Histology team in Geneva.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, validate, and maintain digital image analysis algorithms for histology, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and multiplex imaging applications.
• Translate scientific and clinical questions into measurable image analysis endpoints.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory teams to ensure scientific accuracy and robust analytical solutions.
• Support the development and implementation of AI and machine learning approaches within digital pathology workflows.
• Design and execute verification and validation studies to ensure algorithm performance, reproducibility, and quality compliance.
• Prepare validation documentation, protocols, and reports in accordance with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for digital pathology platforms and image analysis systems.
• Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on image analysis tools and workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across digital pathology and image analytics capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry developments, and scientific literature.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Image Analysis, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Medical Imaging, Digital Pathology, Data Science, or a related scientific discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years' experience within digital image analysis, computational pathology, medical imaging, or a related field.

Additional Job Standards

• Experience developing and validating image analysis algorithms for pathology or histology applications.

• Familiarity with digital pathology platforms such as HALO, Visiopharm, QuPath, ImageJ/Fiji, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of biomarker analysis, clinical trials, or companion diagnostics is highly desirable.
• Exposure to multiplex immunofluorescence image analysis workflows would be advantageous.
• Basic programming knowledge in Python and/or R.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
