About the Role

Join Information and Digital Services (IDS) as a Contracts and Vendor Management Officer, where you will play a key role in supporting the effective administration of contracts and vendor relationships across the University.

Working closely with IDS leaders, stakeholders and Procurement Services, you will help ensure contracts are managed efficiently, risks are monitored, and continuous improvements are delivered across contract and supplier management processes.

As the Contracts and Vendor Management Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the administration of IDS contracts and contract lifecycle activities.
• Managing contract renewals, reporting and compliance activities with key stakeholders.
• Assisting with the management and continuous improvement of vendor relationships and supplier frameworks.
• Contributing to governance, risk management and process improvements across IDS contract and vendor management functions.
• Supporting budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting activities associated with contracts, software licensing, and vendor services.

This position makes a significant contribution to the University’s strategic plan to “Changing 10 million lives, Every One Matters”, by 2035 through supporting the contracts, suppliers and governance processes that underpin the University's digital operations. About You

You are a collaborative and organised professional with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.  With experience in administration, procurement, contracts, vendor management or a related business support environment, you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and balancing multiple priorities.

You take pride in delivering high-quality contract administration and vendor management support while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience supporting contract administration, procurement, vendor management or related business operations.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• The ability to build effective relationships and communicate confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of contract, supplier or governance frameworks, along with a proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience with budget monitoring, financial reporting, procurement or contract administration activities is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will hold a qualification in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience in a similar role.

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.

Appointment to this role is conditional on the completion of required pre-employment checks and declarations, each of which must be satisfactory to the University. This includes: 

• A current completed Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Gender Based Violence Declaration which is satisfactory to the University. The contract of Employment is conditional upon the receipt of these completed compliance checks. A disclosable outcome will not automatically disqualify a candidate from consideration. Each case will be assessed on its individual merits and relevance to the inherent requirements of the role.
