Identity Technical Specialist
As an Identity Technical Specialist, you'll help keep our identity services secure, stable and easy to use across the organisation. You'll split your time between day-to-day 3rd line operational support and onboarding applications for SSO into Entra ID (Enterprise Apps).
Working closely with colleagues across Technology and the business, you'll resolve issues, deliver controlled changes, and help improve the maturity of identity and access management over time.
This role sits within a specialist team in the wider Security function, providing deep expertise that supports the safe and reliable delivery of the organisation's identity and access services. As a key member of the team, you'll work closely with other teams and stakeholders across the wider organisation, manage complex work independently, support and guide colleagues, and contribute to the ongoing modernisation of our identity services.
This is an opportunity to apply and develop your expertise across a broad range of identity technologies. The team is continually modernising the way it works, so you'll be trusted to help shape and deliver meaningful change rather than simply keep things as they are. It is a role with real impact, technical depth, and the chance to make a clear difference
.

- Lead and deliver SSO onboarding into Entra ID (Enterprise Apps) for SaaS, internal and legacy/on-premise applications, ensuring required identity controls are met.
- Configure and support identity controls including MFA, Conditional Access, least-privilege role assignment, and alignment with identity governance processes for joiners, movers, leavers and access certifications.
- Investigate incidents and service issues, identify root causes, and contribute to well-controlled fixes and improvements.
- Carry out routine service activities including configuration updates, access changes, monitoring and health checks.
- Follow established procedures and standards to ensure secure, consistent service operation.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation for operational tasks, onboarding decisions and service changes.
- Work effectively with colleagues across teams, using ServiceNow to manage requests, incidents and change activities.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting practical enhancements.
