We are looking for a Human Capital Business Partner to support our teams in Germany (Berlin and Cologne) as part of our Europe, Middle East and Canada business segment (EMEC).

What You Will Do:

The ideal candidate will be able to ‘roll their sleeves up’ and immerse themselves in the day-to-day human capital requirement for the Berlin/Cologne office, while also being mindful of global policies and procedures applicable across Guidehouse.

• You will provide support to management and employees with engagement programs, performance management, operational excellence, run the local internship program and legal compliance.

• Act as a business Partner to the Works Council in Germany and educate others within the business of what is required.

Business Partnering

• Act as a business partner and advisor to local management and employees on all HR related matters.

HR operational excellence

• There is a big focus on automation and leveraging capabilities of Workday and other systems. Set up and improve the efficiency of HR-related services and policies and analyse trends and metrics.

Employee engagement

Performance management

• Support managers and employees throughout the annual performance management cycle

Collaboration with Works Council

• Collaboration with the works council is essential. Participate in the conception, negotiation, introduction, and implementation of works agreements with Executive Director of Human Capital.

What You Will Need: 

• Degree educated with 5 or more years of relevant experience.

• You have solid HR generalist experience.

• A thorough background in HR processes impacting the Employee lifecycle.

• Experience operating as a stand alone HR Business Partner able to work independently and with initiative, as well as in a team.

• Solid basic knowledge of German labour law and previous experience of working with a Works Council is desirable.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Strong command of the German and English language.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Workday experience desired.

• Experience in global workforce is a plus.
