Scope of Position 

This integrated role is responsible for partnering with the High Reliability Organization (HRO) Senior Consultant and multidisciplinary teams within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including the James Cancer Hospital, to facilitate sustained deployment of HRO principles and practices across the OSUWMC continuum of care (acute to ambulatory) in alignment with the Exceptional Care Initiative of Impact 2035. The position emphasizes the establishment, execution, and sustainment of high reliability systems, including the Tiered Huddle Program, by leveraging expertise in clinical practice, project management, lean six sigma, and human factors engineering. This role will advance organizational performance and patient safety through evidence-based design, systems thinking, and the application of human-centered approaches. The focus will not only be on closing high reliability gaps with infrastructure and support but also leading with innovation and excellence to establish OSUWMC as a national leader in the high reliability space.

Position Summary

The High Reliability Organization (HRO) Change Management Senior Analyst serves as a catalyst for the organization's journey toward high reliability, aligning strategic vision with operational execution. This role combines project management and performance improvement competencies to optimize workflows, enhance care quality, and drive system-wide change. Key responsibilities include develops and deploys infrastructure to support HRO principles across the continuum of care; optimizes the Tiered Huddle Program; directs and coordinates mechanisms to help identify and prioritize ongoing opportunities for improvement then monitors their effectiveness; collects, analyzes, and reports meaningful HRO metrics; validates sustained HRO efforts and provides training and education as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:        Bachelor's Degree in health-related specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:       Advanced degree in health-related specialty.  4-8 years relevant experience.
