Job Description

HR Manager

The HR Manager, LatAm is the primary strategic HR partner supporting Omni's operations across Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. Based in Brazil, this role partners directly with the VP, International and the Senior Director, Marketing & Product Solutions to translate business strategy into people strategy for a multi-country, multi-cultural client group.

This role combines hands-on generalist HR delivery — employee relations, performance management, and execution of cyclical HR processes — with strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational change leadership. The HR Manager, LatAm also serves as the region's point of contact for global HR colleagues, helping maintain program consistency and compliance across three distinct legal and cultural environments.

Key Responsibilities

Trusted Advisor & Strategic Partner

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to department leaders, acting as their primary HR point of contact.
  • Create and implement tailored people strategies that directly align with strategic objectives and contribute to long-term growth.
  • Anticipate organizational needs and proactively identify challenges related to talent, structure, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to create and implement effective talent acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional initiatives, ensuring seamless execution from strategy development to implementation.
  • Navigate complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and discretion, balancing the needs of the business with a people-first approach.

Talent, Workforce & Succession Planning

  • Lead strategic workforce planning and headcount forecasting across Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil to support business growth.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to build and maintain talent pipelines for critical commercial and functional roles in the region.
  • Lead succession planning and development planning for high-potential talent across the LatAm client group.

Execution of HR Cyclical Processes

  • Own the employee relations investigation process for the region, ensuring objective, consistent practice across all three countries.
  • Coach and counsel managers on performance management, embedding consistent practices and tools across Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
  • Partner with global Centers of Excellence (Total Rewards, Talent, Benefits) to execute compensation, performance, and talent cycles across the region, including manager training, communications, and required data audits.
  • Partner with Total Rewards on pay equity, merit planning, and incentive design appropriate to each local market.
  • Liaise on leave programs, accommodations, and return-to-work coordination per local requirements.

HR Systems & Compliance

  • Maintain current working knowledge of Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil employment law, ensuring policies and practices remain compliant in each jurisdiction.
  • Partner with Legal on labor relations matters, works councils, or union engagement where applicable.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the company's Employer of Record partner, Globalization Partners (G-P), overseeing onboarding, contract changes, offboarding, and payroll/benefits compliance for employees engaged through the EOR model.
  • Monitor G-P's service-level performance and partner with the vendor to resolve employee relations, compensation, or compliance matters consistent with company policy and local law.
  • Champion adoption of core HR systems and tools (e.g., case management, HRIS, AI-enabled HR technology) to drive efficiency and compliance across the region.
  • Monitor and proactively mitigate employee relations and compliance risk across the region.

Global & Regional Coordination

  • Serve as the LatAm point of contact for global HR colleagues, providing guidance on program consistency and alignment with global HR standards.
  • Coordinate, without formal supervisory authority, on cross-border talent and culture initiatives with the India/AEM HR Manager and broader global HR team.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide HR strategy, policy, and resource-allocation discussions given the strategic scope of the region.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR business partner experience, including direct support of commercial, marketing, or go-to-market leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple LatAm countries; working knowledge of Brazilian labor law (CLT) required, with Argentina and/or Mexico experience a strong plus.
  • Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English to partner with global stakeholders.
  • Prior experience supporting sales, marketing, or commercial client groups highly desired.
  • Strong employee relations and performance-coaching experience; comfortable independently handling complex, sensitive matters.
  • Experience with strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational change.
  • Solid analytical and presentation skills; able to use workforce data to influence business decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification a plus.
  • Ability to travel periodically across Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Organizational Agility — understands how the business and organization work, and gets things done through formal and informal channels across cultures.
  • Relationship & Influence — builds trust quickly with senior leaders; comfortable saying no and prioritizing ruthlessly amid shifting needs.
  • Learning Agility & Dealing with Ambiguity — adapts quickly across three distinct markets and cultures, and acts effectively without a complete picture.
  • Problem Solving — uses data and structured thinking to diagnose issues and propose practical, locally appropriate solutions.
