What you will have an opportunity to do:

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide leadership and direction for all housekeeping and laundry activities for the hotel to ensure the highest level of cleanliness for both the guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and heart of the house for cleanliness.
• Train, motivate, coach, counsel and discipline staff members.
• Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program.
• Maintain the supplies and linen inventories.
• Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient and friendly manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management.

What are we looking for?

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Hotel Housekeeping experience MANDATORY
• Engaging and caring personality
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Ability to communicate effectively - English and Spanish
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
