Position Summary:

Begin the experience of the Crows Bench for each guest with an incredible first impression. Greet and seat each party, politely answer the phone and take reservations and control overall flow of service. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Position will begin early November and will end in April-potential for summer employment upon needs and performance.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

• Professionally and calmly maintain steady, even flow of seating.
• Make detailed guest reservations at the Crow’s Bench.
• Responsible for greeting all guests and respond appropriately to requests and special needs.
• Give guests approximate wait times and offer a seat at the bar when available.
• Seat guests with consideration of reservations, guest preference, servers’ workload, restaurant capacity and ability.
• Hand out menus to guests and bring highchairs for young guests.
• Quickly and accurately inform servers of where guests have been seated and relay any special requests.
• Thank guests for dining upon leaving and invite them to return.
• Perform other tasks to assist in the smooth operation of the restaurant to assure guest satisfaction.
• Respond to guest comments and complaints and assure them you are personally going to see they get a response if necessary, then follow up with supervisor or manager.

Physical Capabilities- Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- fluent English reading, writing and communication; basic math

Minimum time in related position-  4-6 months of job-specific work experience.
