Woodward is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Hospitality Sales Manager to drive sales for corporate events, group outings, social gatherings, meetings, team-building experiences, banquets, and special events. This role generates revenue, builds client relationships, manages events from inquiry through execution, and delivers exceptional guest experiences.
Partnering with the Food & Beverage Manager and teams across Marketing, Operations, Programs, and Guest Experience, this position helps create memorable events that drive visitation and revenue. The Hospitality Sales Manager will support day-to-day Food & Beverage operations as business needs require.
The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with experience in hospitality, food and beverage, events, resorts, or destination venues who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

What You'll Do
Event Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow corporate, social, community, and private event business.
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry relationships.
- Respond to event inquiries, qualify opportunities, and create customized proposals.
- Conduct site tours and presentations for prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and event agreements while maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective and confirmed business through CRM management.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout the sales process.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, community organizations, schools, and local businesses.
- Develop repeat business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
- Ensure clients receive exceptional service from inquiry through post-event follow-up.
- Gather client feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with clients to define event objectives, schedules, menus, entertainment, activities, and logistical requirements.
- Lead internal planning meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Coordinate event details with Food & Beverage, Programming, Facilities, Guest Experience, and Marketing teams.
- Support on-site execution of key events and help troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ensure each event reflects Woodward Park City brand standards and guest experience expectations.
- Partner closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and assist with daily Food & Beverage operations when business needs require.
Revenue, Marketing & Community
- Develop event proposals, pricing structures, and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor booking pace, conversion rates, and event profitability.
- Identify upselling opportunities, including food and beverage packages, facility rentals, instruction, equipment rentals, memberships, and branded experiences.
- Track and report key sales metrics and event performance.
- Partner with Marketing to promote event offerings and seasonal sales initiatives.
- Represent Woodward Park City within the local business community.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hospitality sales, group sales, event sales, catering sales, resort sales, or related experience.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience managing contracts, proposals, and client negotiations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to build consensus and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of culinary operations, food and beverage operations, or hospitality event management experience.
- Experience in resort, hotel, destination, recreation, or experiential event environments.
- Knowledge of catering and banquet operations.
- Familiarity with Utah tourism and hospitality markets.
- An established network of corporate, community, and event-planning contacts.
