Job Summary:

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking an Assembly Technician - PEC that is responsible for the assembly of the building structures. The technician will work from engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure products are manufactured to quality and safety standards while meeting production schedules.

Job Duties:

• Assemble building components used in power distribution and control system buildings.
• Read and interpret drawing packages, detail drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Install and assemble wall panels, ceiling panels, roof structures, trim, door openings, steel support structures, wall penetration frames, interior wall liners, insulation, door systems and hardware.
• Perform in process checks for correct dimensions including, penetration locations, rough opening sizes and locations, individual panel sizes, overall building dimensions and squareness.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialty equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies.
• Ensure all assemblies meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Maintain production documentation and accurately record completed work.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in building component assembly or industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand building drawing packages and BOM structures.
• Knowledge and experience using various powered hand tools including power drills, Impact drivers, band saws, reciprocating saws and general hand tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• US work authorization without sponsorship required
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
• Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
• Ability to stoop and bend required
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
• Excellent manual dexterity required
