About the role

Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, is looking for a senior commercial leader to head our Radiation Therapy business in the Netherlands. In this role, you will lead a strategically important market, strengthen long-term customer partnerships, and help advance access to innovative cancer care solutions.

You will be the senior Varian representative in the Dutch market, accountable for business performance, customer engagement, market development, and collaboration across local, regional, and global teams. The role also includes responsibility for selected international key accounts, working with country teams to build strong group-level partnerships.

What you will do

• Lead the Varian Radiation Therapy business in the Netherlands, with accountability for growth, customer satisfaction, market share, and financial performance.
• Shape and execute the country strategy in close collaboration with Siemens Healthineers Netherlands and regional Varian leadership.
• Build trusted senior-level relationships with hospitals, radiotherapy institutes, academic centres, procurement leaders, and key opinion leaders.
• Drive strategic opportunities, tenders, negotiations, and account plans in a complex healthcare environment.
• Act as executive sponsor for key customers and major opportunities, ensuring strong coordination across sales, service, marketing, project management, and leadership teams.
• Lead selected international key accounts by aligning country teams and developing clear, long-term partnership strategies.
• Coach and develop the Dutch team, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused culture.
• Foster strong collaboration across the Netherlands matrix organization and represent Varian Business area in the local organization

What you bring

You are an entrepreneurial and customer-focused leader with strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and the ability to inspire teams in a matrix environment.

• Proven leadership experience in medical technology, healthcare solutions, life sciences, or another complex B2B environment.
• Strong track record in strategic sales, business development, tenders, negotiations, and long-term customer partnerships.
• Experience managing business performance, including growth, profitability, forecasting, and risk.
• Ability to engage confidently with clinical, operational, procurement, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience leading through influence across local, regional, and global teams.
• International or multi-country account management experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with willingness to travel within the Netherlands and occasionally across Europe.
