About the Role
As Head of Government Relations EU, you will lead ARX Robotics’ engagement with European and national governments, institutions, and key defence stakeholders, helping shape the policy, regulatory, and strategic environment in which advanced unmanned defence technologies are developed and deployed.
You will build trusted relationships across the European defence and security ecosystem, represent ARX Robotics’ interests with senior governmental stakeholders, and translate political and regulatory developments into actionable business strategies. This role combines government affairs, strategic stakeholder management, policy engagement, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Build
- Develop and execute ARX Robotics’ European government relations strategy in alignment with company priorities and long-term growth objectives
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across European governments, ministries, defence authorities, EU institutions, and relevant public-sector organisations
- Represent ARX Robotics’ interests in policy, regulatory, funding, procurement, and defence-industry discussions across Europe
- Monitor and analyse European and national developments in defence policy, security, autonomous systems, AI, procurement, industrial policy, and defence funding
- Translate political, regulatory, and policy developments into clear strategic recommendations for the leadership team and relevant business functions
- Identify opportunities to shape policy discussions and contribute to the development of a supportive regulatory and strategic environment for autonomous defence technologies
- Coordinate ARX Robotics’ participation in relevant government, industry, policy, and defence forums
- Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Strategy, Legal, Product, and Leadership teams to align government relations activities with commercial and operational priorities
- Support strategic discussions around European defence procurement, capability development, funding programmes, and technology adoption
- Prepare senior-level briefings, policy positions, stakeholder analyses, talking points, and engagement plans
- Help build long-term partnerships that support Europe’s defence capabilities, technological sovereignty, and adoption of innovative autonomous systems
What You Bring
- Significant experience in government relations, public affairs, government affairs, policy, diplomacy, or a closely related field
- Strong understanding of European defence and security policy, institutions, and decision-making processes
- Established network across European governments, defence ministries, public-sector organisations, EU institutions, or relevant industry stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior political, governmental, military, and industry decision-makers
- Strong understanding of defence procurement, defence policy, security technology, or the European defence industry
- Ability to monitor complex policy developments and translate them into clear strategic and commercial implications
- Excellent communication, negotiation, advocacy, and stakeholder-management skills
- Strong political judgement, discretion, and the ability to operate effectively in sensitive environments
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a fast-growing technology company
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken; German and/or another major European language is a strong advantage
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
