About this role

Are you ready to drive financial excellence? As our Head of Financial Control, you will lead a talented team of controllers, ensuring compliance across the legal entities in your scope. Working ‘hands-on’ and closely with Group Finance Operations (GFO), care for team development, and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

These are some of the key components of the position:

• Lead and develop a high-performing regional Financial Control team, driving excellence and aiming high across all deliverables.
• Monitor the quality of transactional work performed by the GFO team in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and any local requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the business, finance business partners and other finance departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
• Oversee and ensure timely compliance with local statutory accounts, tax obligations, and the internal control framework.
• Partner with the Finance Systems team to maximise the efficiency and appropriate use of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Implement streamlined processes and lead complex technical accounting projects such as impairment analysis.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

What will you bring to the team?

• Broad accounting experience within a complex, international, or listed environment.
• Accounting qualification (such as RA, CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with at least 10 years working experience preferably in external audit.
• Advanced technical accounting knowledge, specifically encompassing IFRS.
• A solutions-based approach to overcome challenges .
• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to distil complex technical topics for non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven experience in people management, with a passion for mentoring, developing, and helping individuals succeed.
