Role Overview

Compliance Advisory plays a critical role in supporting and constructively challenging the business to achieve the highest standards of regulatory compliance, market integrity, and professional conduct. The function operates through regional advisory teams and is complemented by three Global Heads of Product Advisory with responsibility for:

• Securities & Venues
• Derivatives (Rates, FX, Money Markets and Government Bonds)
• Futures

The Head of Derivatives Compliance Advisory is responsible for leading the firm's specialist advisory coverage across Rates, FX, Money Markets, and Government Bonds globally. The role provides strategic regulatory leadership and subject matter expertise across derivatives and fixed income markets, supporting TP ICAP's Global Broking division and wider enterprise objectives.

Operating with a strong global mandate, the role ensures the consistent application of regulatory requirements, conduct standards, and risk management practices across all jurisdictions in which TP ICAP operates. As a senior Compliance leader, the individual will serve as a trusted adviser to executive stakeholders, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused guidance while upholding robust regulatory standards.

The role partners closely with regional Compliance Advisory teams, Legal, Risk, and senior business leadership to support strategic initiatives, regulatory change, governance activities, investigations, and employee training programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the firm's regulatory strategy, enhancing market integrity, and strengthening TP ICAP's global culture of compliance.

This role location can be considered in London, Singapore, New York, Hong Kong or another location within the TP ICAP Group offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Global Derivatives Compliance Advisory function, setting strategic direction, driving excellence in delivery, and providing expert product advisory support across the global business.
• Directly manage and develop a team of subject matter experts located across TP ICAP's international footprint, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive culture.
• Partner with Divisional Heads, Chief Operating Officers, and senior business leaders to provide regulatory guidance and constructive challenge on strategic initiatives, business models, and growth opportunities.
• Act as a trusted adviser to Front Office leadership, delivering clear, risk-based, and commercially practical regulatory advice.
• Design and deliver global thematic training programmes to enhance regulatory awareness, conduct standards, and compliance culture.
• Provide Compliance Advisory oversight for strategic change initiatives, including new product approvals, new broking models, technology-enabled solutions, and expansion into new jurisdictions.
• Assess major strategic transactions and business initiatives, including acquisitions, and lead Compliance Advisory input into due diligence, risk assessments, and implementation planning.
• Lead significant Compliance transformation, remediation, and regulatory change programmes to ensure effective and timely delivery of business and regulatory objectives.
• Represent Compliance Advisory at executive committees, governance forums, and regulatory discussions, influencing decision-making and promoting effective risk management.
• Partner with regional Compliance Advisory and Regulatory teams to assess, interpret, and coordinate the global implications of regulatory developments.
• Provide specialist guidance to the Transaction Reporting Advisory team on regulatory frameworks including MiFIR, EMIR, and Dodd-Frank.
• Advise on the compliance implications of new products, execution workflows, market structure developments, and trading solutions to ensure alignment with applicable regulatory and venue requirements.
• Act as the escalation point for complex, sensitive, or high-risk compliance matters relating to derivatives and government bond activities globally.
• Promote regulatory excellence and best practice across the organisation, ensuring consistency of approach and effective knowledge sharing across regions.

Experience / Competencies

Essential

• Extensive experience within wholesale financial markets, with deep expertise across Rates and FX derivatives, money markets, and government bond products.
• Significant Compliance Advisory experience within a global financial services organisation, or equivalent experience gained through a closely related regulatory, legal, risk, or market structure role.
• Strong understanding of interdealer brokerage models, market infrastructure, and the regulatory environment governing wholesale financial markets.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing high-performing teams across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
• Comprehensive knowledge of global regulatory frameworks applicable to derivatives trading, market conduct, market structure, and wholesale financial markets.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide credible challenge while maintaining strong business relationships.
• Strong programme and project management capabilities, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Commercially minded and solutions-oriented, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and apply sound judgement to complex regulatory issues.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Desired

• Experience supporting interdealer brokerage, agency brokerage, and/or electronic trading businesses.
• Detailed knowledge of MiFIR, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, and associated transaction reporting obligations.
• Experience leading global remediation programmes, regulatory change initiatives, or large-scale Compliance transformation activities.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, strategic business expansion, or entry into new regulatory jurisdictions.
• Previous engagement with regulators, exchanges, trading venues, industry associations, or market infrastructure providers.
• Professional Compliance qualification or relevant industry accreditation.
• Experience operating within a complex global financial services organisation with multiple regulatory obligations and stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of emerging market structure developments, evolving trading models, and industry trends impacting global wholesale financial markets.
