We’re seeking a skilled GSOC Team Lead to support our Client’s GSOC program as it moves from a business unite focused function, to an enterprise wide support function.
This role will serve as the day-to-day leader of the GSOC, providing operational oversight and strategic direction for a team of embedded operators. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior security leadership, driving program maturity, developing operational processes, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring the GSOC can effectively support stakeholders across the broader organization.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support the transformation of the GSOC into an enterprise-wide security function.
- Develop roadmaps and recommendations to enhance GSOC capabilities and maturity.
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the GSOC and provide oversight of all security operations personnel.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and GSOC staff, ensuring alignment with strategic security objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, technology utilization, and service delivery.
- Establish and maintain operational metrics, reporting mechanisms, and quality assurance processes.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance oversight for embedded GSOC personnel.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure operators adhere to established SOPs, escalation protocols, and service standards.
- Ensure timely response to security incidents impacting personnel, facilities, operations, executives, and business continuity.
- Coordinate emergency communications, crisis management support, and stakeholder notifications.
- Lead after-action reviews and identify opportunities for operational improvements following significant incidents.
- Develop, review, and maintain GSOC policies, procedures, playbooks, and escalation frameworks.
- Implement quality assurance measures to maintain consistency across shifts and personnel.
- Design and manage training programs to ensure operator readiness and operational excellence.
- Support exercises, drills, and crisis response simulations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience within a GSOC, Security Operations Center, Fusion Center, intelligence function, or similar security operations environment.
- 3+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience supporting the standing up, transforming, or expanding of a GSOC, Fusion Center, or enterprise security program.
- Experience managing or supporting 24/7 security operations.
- Experience developing SOPs, operational frameworks, and incident management processes.
- Demonstrated success leading operational transformation or program improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of incident management, crisis response, threat monitoring, and security operations best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior stakeholders and executives.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change within a complex organizational environment.
- Background in intelligence analysis, risk management, corporate security, emergency management, or business continuity.
- Experience managing contract security personnel and multiple vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with travel risk management, executive protection support, and global incident monitoring.
- Knowledge of security technologies such as access control systems, CCTV platforms, incident management systems, mass notification tools, and threat intelligence platforms.

The base salary range for this position is $135000-145000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
