Summary

The Group Sales System Specialist is responsible for the administration and continued improvement of the company’s group sales system, with the opportunity to shape how technology supports Group Sales across the organization. This role manages system configuration and user access, builds and improves workflows and automations, develops reporting and dashboards, and identifies opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and support revenue growth.

The Group Sales System Specialist is highly detail-oriented, analytically minded, and naturally curious, with an interest in solving problems and finding better ways to use technology and data. This role digs into system activity, reporting trends, and user feedback to identify opportunities and develop solutions, while partnering with teams across the organization to bring those improvements to life. From troubleshooting and training to automation and new system capabilities, this position offers the opportunity to continually improve the tools and processes that support Group Sales.

Compensation 

With a competitive starting pay range of $32.00 to $39.00 per hour, with placement based on experience, skills, and qualifications, this role leads meaningful change and has a direct influence on business results with exciting opportunities for growth, development, and advancement with a company that invests in its people and their success.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as the go-to administrator for the group sales system, ensuring the platform is running smoothly, user access is maintained, and tools and templates are optimized for success.

• Design, enhance, and maintain workflows, automations, and system processes that simplify work, increase efficiency, and support revenue growth opportunities.

• Create and deliver reports, dashboards, and key performance insights that help leaders make informed business decisions.

• Analyze system activity, reporting trends, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions that drive results.

• Support and empower users through onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing system guidance to encourage confidence and adoption.

• Investigate system and process challenges, identify root causes, and partner with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

• Stay current on technology advancements, system enhancements, and industry best practices, bringing forward new ideas that improve efficiency and the user experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, information systems, or related field. 

• 2+ years of experience in system administration, data management, operations support, or related functions. Hospitality, sales systems, CRM, or event management system experience preferred. 

• Experience with analytics, training, process improvement, and project management a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

• Requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret data, reports, and system information.

• Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical solutions. 

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. 

• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills. 

• Ability to learn, administer, and support complex technology systems. 

• Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines. 

• Ability to prepare reports, procedures, and training materials. 

• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Work Environment

The Group Sales System Specialist position is based in the St. Louis, MO corporate office with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
