About Global Revenue Operations and the Business Planner Role
• GRO is part of Commercial Organization in HP and leads the stimulating digital transformation with the expected outcome to become a more experience-driven organization. It is a strategic function that helps drive HP’s Digital Transformation and Innovation in Sales processes including our Channel Partners.
• GRO builds relationship with HP Customers, Partners as well as dedicated HP Sales Teams, understanding operational business models, identifying challenges in the operational process, and finding solutions on how to improve HP interlock in the operational environment.
• As part of GRO, the Strategy and Planning Team, drives standardized strategies, planning and execution processes across the organization. You will be part of a global team of highly engaged and capable colleagues supporting the organizational charter.
• The GRO Business Resource Planner is responsible for overseeing the readiness of processes and tools used to monitor organizational and investment operating expenditures. This role involves defining and implementing operational governance to ensure that these mechanisms support effective budget management. Additionally, the planner is accountable for delivering accurate forecasts of organizational and operating expenses across multiple teams, both within and outside GRO. Collaboration with the Strategy and Planning team, other Business Resource Planning members, the GRO executive leadership, HR, and Finance is essential to maintain robust governance throughout the Budget Planning Cycle within the organization.
To reach the above objective you should
• Support L3 organizations tracking their headcount and financial planning data in Business Resource Planning (BRP) tools for reviews with L2
• Proactively simplify the budget planning process, resulting in improvements to the planning tool that ultimately offer Data Owners an optimal experience throughout the entire bottoms-up workflow.
• Conduct review meetings with executive leadership of L3s including actions to ensure spend within affordability
• Partner with other stakeholders such as Finance, HR, and Workforce planning
• Keep monthly maintenance of the BRP tools aligning them to HP’s systems of records, Financial and Workforce ones
• Create reporting packages to Leadership board around Budget Affordability
• Support on the Target setting process (Long-Term-Planning) for operating expenses and one-time investments
• Assure Data Quality within the Business Resource Planning Tools
• Give feedback to design and implement Automation micro-Systems for the Business Resource Planning Tools
• Support the creation of semi-automated Dashboards, Metrics (for example Workload Drivers, Affordability Metrics, Return of Investment analysis, etc.)
You should bring with you
• Advanced analytical thinking and Mastery of Excel (incl. Pivots, Formulas etc)
• Knowledgeable in concepts like Dashboard, Metrics, YoY, as %-age of., etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop strong and trusted working relationships with stakeholders
• Team supervision experience is required
• High degree of flexibility and ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks seamlessly and with excellent attention to detail and quality of deliverables
• Ability to exercise independent judgment to determine appropriate action
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, passion, and a positive, can-do attitude
• Fluency in English
• Bring and propose best practices to optimize the planning process and maximize results to reach organization targets
• Problem solving, positive thinking, creativity
• Proactiveness towards simplification and automation tools
• Strong Process acumen, financial, MOC, project management skills are an advantage
