As an Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for developing creative and visually compelling marketing and communications materials that support Irving Oil's business objectives and brand standards. Working within the Creative Services team, you will collaborate with designers, communication specialists, and internal clients to bring ideas to life across a variety of platforms, including digital, print, retail, point-of-sale, tradeshows, video, and more. Your goal will be to deliver high-quality creative solutions that effectively engage audiences and support organizational priorities. Success in this role will come from your ability to balance creativity with execution, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a strong client-service mindset.

This is a Fixed Term contract position anticipated to last 6 months in duration.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide graphic design support to Irving Oil's business lines to meet the objectives outlined in creative briefs
• Develop creative concepts by analyzing project requirements and collaborating with internal clients and stakeholders
• Produce engaging and on-brand creative assets across a variety of media channels
• Ensure brand consistency and visual standards are maintained across all creative deliverables
• Create multiple design concepts and provide rationale for high-visibility projects and campaigns
• Prepare production-ready files for print and digital applications while maintaining quality standards
• Resolve design and production challenges through collaboration with Communications, Design, and business stakeholders
• Present design concepts and recommendations to clients and project teams
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices

Your Skills:

• Strong client-focused mindset with the ability to translate business needs into effective creative solutions
• Excellent visual design skills and a keen attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience designing across various mediums, including print, digital, and traditional marketing channels
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment 

Your Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in graphic design or a related creative field
• Completion of secondary school and a post-secondary diploma or degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other industry-standard design software
• Experience or knowledge in photography, videography, web design, or UI/UX design would be considered an asset

The expected annual salary range for this position is $61,993 - $77,492. Placement within the range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications and skills.
