Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Government Program Control Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the financial backbone of our federal programs by managing complex budgets, tracking multi-year contract funding, and mitigating financial risks. You will act as the primary bridge between project managers, procurement teams, and corporate leadership to ensure all project goals are met on time and within budget.
You will take ownership of contract compliance, build detailed cost estimates, and perform deep-dive financial analysis to guide executive decision-making. Your expertise in federal regulations and financial modeling will directly support our mission to deliver high-quality, fully compliant results to our government clients.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Forecasting & Planning Create monthly spending forecasts for multi-year programs. Predict future cash flow needs and funding gaps. Build financial models to test best and worst-case cost scenarios. Track actual project costs against the planned baseline budget.
Contract Compliance & Oversight - Review contract awards to map out specific billing rules. Ensure all spending aligns with FAR and DFARS regulations. Monitor contract funding limits to prevent cost overruns. Help prepare documentation for official government audits.
Analytical Proficiency & Data Analysis - Analyze complex financial data to find hidden trends. Research budget discrepancies and fix accounting errors quickly. Turn complex data into simple, actionable advice for management.
Cost Estimation & Pricing- Develop detailed Cost Plus and Firm Fixed Price estimates. Gather historical cost data to justify new proposal pricing. Work with technical teams to estimate labor hour needs. Update cost estimation models with current market rates.
Financial Reporting & Briefing
Prepare monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports. Write clear monthly status reports for government clients. Build visual financial dashboards for the executive team. Lead budget review meetings with project stakeholders.
Material Procurement & Subcontract Management
Track purchase orders from initial request to final delivery. Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy before approval. Audit material costs against the approved bill of materials. Report on material spending variances to procurement managers.
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
$107.5K - $155.6K USD

Qualifications:
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or MBA
- Experience: 6+ years in federal contracting.
- Skills: Expert Excel user and experience Oracle/SAP accounting. Ability to design and implement estimation and pricing tools. Ability to establish standardized policies and procedures.
