Role Overview Provide Level 2 technical support and operational management for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments, serving Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support GCP services, including:
- Compute Engine
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Cloud Storage
- Cloud SQL
- VPC Networking
- IAM & Security Services
- Troubleshoot production incidents and service disruptions.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver).
- Escalate complex issues to L3 engineers or Google support when required.
- Support cloud migration, deployment, and optimization activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of cloud infrastructure or support experience.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Linux administration
- Networking (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancers, Firewalls)
- Kubernetes and container technologies
- IAM and cloud security concepts
- Incident and problem management processes
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Terraform).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Language Requirements
- Fluent Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) and English.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with Mandarin-speaking customers and internal teams.
Preferred Certifications
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
