Position Summary
The Vogt Power Global Sourcing Manager reports to the Senior Director of Supply Management and leads strategic sourcing, supplier development, and competitive bid analysis for assigned commodities and products. The position expands and strengthens the global supply base to improve competitiveness, capacity, quality, and supply continuity. The Global Sourcing Manager identifies, evaluates, and develops qualified, competitive global suppliers and fabricators for materials and components used in Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and other boiler applications.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Monitor global market conditions, pricing trends, supply risks, capacity constraints, and regional developments affecting assigned commodities and products, and translate findings into sourcing recommendations.
- Assess supplier capacity against forecasted demand and proactively qualify alternative sources for constrained or high risk commodity categories.
- Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL), document supplier qualification status, and ensure newly approved suppliers are included in applicable bid packages.
- Identify commodities, products, and regions with limited or high risk sourcing coverage, prioritize the gaps, and develop action plans to qualify competitive alternative suppliers.
- Develop and manage long term relationships with strategic suppliers to improve competitiveness, capacity alignment, quality, delivery performance, and responsiveness across projects.
- Work closely with key suppliers to align capacity and product qualifications with forecasted requirements.
- Serve as the global sourcing subject matter expert for Buyers and Project Procurement Managers by recommending qualified sources, addressing supplier capacity constraints, and supporting sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and products.
- Provide quarterly updates to business unit leadership on supplier qualifications, sourcing gaps, capacity risks, market developments, and progress against strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Develop and support the negotiation of strategic capacity agreements and long term agreements for assigned commodities and products, as directed by the Director of Supply Management.
- Support the Estimating and Proposals teams by developing supplier pricing, validating sourcing assumptions, and maintaining current and historical pricing data for assigned commodities and products.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution preferred. Candidates with a business-related degree and relevant industry experience may also be considered.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of Global Sourcing Experience with a focus on Power Generation Boiler Products including Pressure Vessel, Pipe/Valve/Fittings and/or Steel Fabrication. A strong understanding of ASME materials and manufacturing operations is required. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of procurement governance, contracting, policy compliance, and Global Sourcing practices.
- Requires above average computer skills including MS Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications. Database, MRP and ERP Software knowledge is a plus.
- No certificates required. CPM Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills are required. Solid foundational math skills and advanced problem-solving abilities are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must have a valid passport and be able to travel frequently and for extended periods. Strong working knowledge of business law principles and general accounting practices. Must possess exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Final offers may vary based on multiple factors, including education, depth and relevance of work experience, relevant licenses and certifications, and may vary from the amounts listed in the job posting.
The base pay range for this Global Sourcing Manager role is $120,000 - $170,000 annually.
