The Position

The Sites Network Communications team is responsible for delivering communication strategies and measures that contribute to the positive perception of Roche and that of our sites amongst our current and future employees and the communities we operate in. Fostering integrated communications across Group Communications, our local expertise and network bridges between local needs and global priorities to maximise impact. 

The Opportunity

As a Global Sites Network Communications Manager and part of the Leadership team, you will drive  effective communication for the further evolution of the Roche Sites Network, bringing together local and global realities and enabling a common understanding across our Sites Network Colleagues and stakeholders. Reporting to the Head Sites Network Communications, you will work closely with leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and implement communication strategies and assets that drive impact for the Sites Network and beyond. Your expertise in crafting compelling narratives, engaging content, and utilising various communication channels will be essential in ensuring successful change adoption and employee engagement.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Communication Planning: 

• Develop and implement an integrated communication strategy for the Sites Network global functions  aligned with organisational goals bringing leaders and employees along the change journey

Connect the Dots: 

• Act as a central point of coordination across multiple Sites Network evolution program workstreams, ensuring messaging is consistent, aligned, and relevant to employees and stakeholders

Storytelling and Content Creation: 

• Craft clear, engaging, and tailored communications, including written content, presentations, videos, and digital assets, that translate complex topics into relatable, actionable messages
• Create communication frameworks that enable leaders at all levels to translate the strategic change narrative in ways that connect to their teams' day-to-day work. 
• Translating complex information into clear, actionable messages for diverse audiences

Stakeholder Collaboration: 

• Navigate a complex, matrixed environment with confidence, building trust and alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with Sites Network leaders, program leads and team members, and cross-functional teams to gather insights, align on priorities, and co-create communication strategies
• Set up a and guide a network of change communication enablers at local sites and collaborate closely with members of the Sites Network Communications team and the Implementation Management Office

Driving Change Outcomes:

•  Implement creative and practical solutions that lead to tangible, measurable outcomes, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and equipped to adopt change initiatives

• Actively listen to leader & employee feedback, monitor engagement levels, and adjust communication approaches to address concerns and improve effectiveness

• Track and analyse the impact of communication efforts, providing data-driven insights to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI

Leadership and Collaboration:

• Work closely with and support the Head of Communications | Sites Network in all Sites Network related communications and transformational activities
• Establish and maintain close working relationships across the broader Group Communications organisation, especially with Corporate Strategy, Sustainability & Sites Network as well as Internal & External Engagement
• While this role does not include direct line management responsibilities, leading and engaging a diverse group of communications and business professionals, providing guidance, coaching and mentorship will be required 
• Work closely with senior executives to advise on communication strategies, providing insights on best practices and innovative approaches

Who you are

You are a seasoned, strategic communications leader who knows how to inspire teams and navigate change in complex, fast-paced environments. Equally comfortable advising executive leaders as you are rolling up your sleeves to craft compelling copy, you bring a high-energy, collaborative approach to connecting people, ideas, and strategy.

Your Experience & Expertise:

• Educational & Professional Foundation: You hold an advanced degree (Master’s preferred) in Communications, Marketing, PR, or a related field, backed by 7+ years of internal and external communications experience—ideally within pharma, diagnostics, healthcare, or another highly regulated sector
• Master Storyteller & Content Creator: You have an exceptional ability to take technical, complex subjects and distill them into clear, engaging, and persuasive narratives across digital, intranet, and traditional communication channels
• Strategic & Data-Driven Thinker: You don't just execute tactics—you design purpose-driven, measurable communication strategies aligned with overarching business objectives, using analytics to refine and demonstrate impact
• Navigating complexity: You demonstrate an ability and passion to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines

• Execution & Project Master: With strong organisational and project management skills, you effortlessly prioritise, manage complexity and timelines, and balance big-picture strategy with hands-on delivery
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to design innovative solutions that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Fluent in English, German is a clear plus (verbal and written)
