As part of our new operating model, we are establishing a new Centre of Expertise for Organisational Effectiveness, Culture, Inclusion and Belonging.  The CoE will play a pivotal role supporting the development and evolution of our organisation to underpin our Win As One strategy, ensuring we have the right structures, roles, ways of working, culture and capabilities in place.

Role Summary

The Organisational Effectiveness (OE) Manager drives Haleon’s Organisational Effectiveness and Strategic Workforce Planning to ensure Haleon is equipped with the right operating model, capacity and capability to deliver its growth and total shareholder return ambitions in a dynamically changing environment. The role reports to the Head of Organisational Effectiveness and, as a high-impact individual contributor with no direct reports, influencing and leading through a broad network of senior leaders across the Operating Units, Finance, Transformation Office, HR People Solutions, HR Centres of Expertise (COEs) and the wider HR community to translate overall strategy into tangible implications for our organisational approach and future workforce, creating a single, enterprise-wide way of mobilising, governing and unlocking value from our organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Partner the Head of OE in leading enterprise-wide activities that shape, govern and track the ongoing evolution of our operating model.

- Ensure that robust organisational principles and discipline underpin enterprise-wide organisational strategy delivery, streamlining of the organisation, consumer connection, and long‑term growth.

• Manage the governance of, and framework for organizational design across the enterprise, including acting as custodian of the target organisation design, manage change requests and exceptions in line with our design principles and cost target.
• Actively work with leaders to identify opportunities to refine and evolve the operating model in the respective parts of the organization including further simplification of structure, streamlining of ways of working, strengthening governance, clarifying decision rights and accountabilities, and driving speed of decision making.
• Work alongside Culture and Employee Listening, and Inclusion and Belonging peers in the CoE to integrate leading and lagging metrics such as inclusion, engagement and attrition. 

- Manage Haleon’s enterprise-wide approach to strategic workforce planning over the short, medium and long-term horizons that ensures clarity of requirements and delivery of a future-fit workforce in close partnership with People Solutions and Finance.

• Embed the framework in the key planning cycles: Integrated Growth Plan (3 years) and Annual Business Plan (12 month).
• Support to evolve, iterate, maintain the enterprise’s Job Architecture framework.
• Identify and draw implications of the external and internal factors that will have significant impact on the future of work, workforce and capabilities – such as impact of AI, business transformation.
• Work with wider HR teams to develop and propose approaches to meeting the medium to long-term requirements (buy, borrow, build, etc).

- Work in close partnership with the Data & Insights team in HR People Solutions to ensure that Haleon has a robust, data-driven framework to inform organisational and workforce decisions that enable the enterprise to meet its objectives.

About you

• Relevant experience and expertise in organisational effectiveness, operating model design, and workforce planning.
• Highly analytical, strong systems thinker with the ability to diagnose root causes and design pragmatic, scalable solutions.
• Strong commercial understanding with the ability to connect business strategy to workforce implications.
• Able to translate analysis into actionable insight and communicate these clearly to senior stakeholders, working in close partnership with People Solutions and Finance.
• Senior leader‑level influencing skills with credibility across HR and business; comfortable working across boundaries in a global, matrix organisation.
• Comfortable operating in complexity, ambiguity, and large‑scale change environments.
• Strong external orientation and future-of-work trends.
• Experience managing a portfolio of projects or initiatives.
