Global Director – Welding Torches & Accessories

Our Welding Equipment division plays a critical role in delivering high-performance solutions across industries worldwide. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Global Director – Welding Torches & Accessories to lead and shape our global product portfolio.

In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee a team of Global Product Managers and drive the development, performance, and innovation of ESAB’s torches and accessories portfolio, including MIG guns, TIG torches, consumables, gouging solutions, and fume extraction systems.

Your responsibilities:

As Global Director, you will:

• Drive global portfolio performance, focusing on margin expansion, sales growth, and technical product differentiation

• Define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and lifecycle management across light and heavy welding segments

• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and portfolio performance to identify growth opportunities

• Lead new product introductions (NPI) and continuous product improvements

• Increase attachment rates across ESAB equipment and filler metals

• Conduct and lead Voice of Customer (VOC) activities with end users, distributors, and internal stakeholders

• Translate customer insights into product requirements, business cases, and feature prioritization

• Manage product evolution and feature requests throughout the lifecycle

• Collaborate closely with R&D and Engineering teams to define product specifications, ensuring timely development and successful launches

• Ensure adherence to ESAB’s Accelerated Product Development (APD) stage-gate process

• Partner with MarCom and Sales to deliver impactful product launches, campaigns, and pricing strategies

• Support forecasting, supply-demand planning, and regional execution

• Work with Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams to ensure global product availability and quality standards

• Drive knowledge sharing across regions, including insights from trade shows, customer interactions, and benchmarking activities

Your profile:

We believe you bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration

• Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience in welding or a similar heavy industry

• Strong understanding of welding processes and applications

• Proven ability to develop and execute global product and market strategies

• Experience in conducting VOC research and translating insights into product development

• Solid business acumen, including pricing, cost structures, and market dynamics

• Strategic mindset with strong analytical capabilities

• Experience working with cross-functional and international teams

• Strong communication and executive presentation skills

• Familiarity with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage

• Fluency in English
