Your mission as a General Manager

DACH is Appinio’s flagship market and primary revenue driver. Instead of building from zero, you will step into an established, high-performing organization to drive its next phase of scale and operational maturity.

Your mission is to establish single-point leadership across the region. You will own the DACH strategy and P&L, represent Appinio as our primary brand ambassador on industry stages, lead complex enterprise negotiations, and optimize our cross-functional GTM  teams and further accelerate growth.

What you’ll be doing 

• Own GTM Strategy & Decision-Making: Serve as the final authority on DACH market strategy, priorities, and resource allocation, focus on creating internal alignment, resource planning and establishing a clear operating rhythm across teams.
• Hold End-to-End P&L Accountability: Take a holistic view across Marketing, Sales, Customer Success (CS), to identify where to optimize, invest, or restructure to maximize regional growth and operating margin.
• Lead Complex Enterprise Deals: Personally lead or co-lead high-stakes commercial negotiations and enterprise client pitches, leveraging deep Quantitative Market Research expertise to establish instant authority.
• Act as Appinio’s Brand Ambassador: Publicly represent Appinio across the DACH region—owning stage presentations, keynotes, media opportunities, and executive network-building to become the primary face of the brand in-market.
• Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Directly lead DACH Marketing, Sales, and CS leads while building a tight, influential strategic partnership with the Research Consulting group to ensure seamless alignment between strategy and research delivery.

You will thrive in this role if

• You bring proven operational discipline in scale: You have a strong track record scaling or optimizing an established, multi-functional organization in a mature market context (ideally DACH), demonstrating structural thinking and governance over "0-to-1 founder mode" hustle.
• You possess deep Quantitative Market Research authority: You hold, credible domain expertise in Quant MR (agency, vendor, or tech platform side) and can step into high-stakes technical or methodological discussions with senior client insights leads without ramp-up.
• You have hands-on P&L management experience: You have successfully owned and optimized a regional or global P&L in a mature business environment, making cross-functional resource tradeoffs to drive overall market performance.
• You are a confident, high-profile public spokesperson: You are charismatic and experienced on stage, comfortable in front of press and industry bodies, and hold (or can rapidly build) strong executive credibility within DACH insights and marketing circles.
• You excel at leading through influence: You have demonstrated political skill and stakeholder diplomacy, allowing you to align and lead cross-functional teams that may not directly report to you.
• You bring a strong GTM focus and operational savvy: You possess KPI-driven leadership for GTM teams paired with AI savvy regarding automation across GTM functions.
• You are fluent in German and English: You possess native or bilingual fluency in German alongside professional fluency in English.

Additional role details

• This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Germany, ideally in Hamburg
• This role will report directly to our Chief Revenue Office
