Impact you'll make:

As a Product Definition Engineer – Gas Power Engineering, you will play a key role in transforming engineering concepts into high-quality digital product definitions that power critical energy solutions. In this role, you will create and manage 3D CAD models, drawings, and product data using advanced tools such as NX, Enovia, and Teamcenter, ensuring design accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards. You will collaborate across disciplines to drive design integrity, improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and support issue resolution from design through manufacturing and field operations. Roles and Responsibilities

• CAD & Model Based Enterprise (MBE): Create high-quality 3D CAD models, production drawings, and digital product definitions using Siemens NX, continually adopting the latest digital engineering and MBE techniques.
• Design Integrity & First Pass Yield (FPY): Ensure design integrity to prevent high-risk escaping defects by rigorously maintaining and driving continuous improvements in FPY (error reduction).
• GD&T Application: Define geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) required for proper clearances and fits of gas turbine components while maximizing manufacturing capabilities.
• Quality Assurance (Self & Peer Checks): Self-check, peer-check, validate, and issue models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) utilizing standard work processes to maximize checking productivity.
• Interface Management: Lead the establishment and alignment of interface characteristics between components, ensuring cross-functional agreement between the owners of mating parts and systems.
• PLM & Data Management: Utilize applicable PLM and data management systems (Enovia / Teamcenter) to securely manage, track, and issue critical product definition data.
• Technical Documentation & Compliance: Document technical data to substantiate assigned components and assemblies in strict accordance with GE Vernova policies, engineering standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Cross-Functional & Field Support: Provide immediate design support to cross-functional teams to help resolve manufacturing, supplier, performance, or field-service issues.
• Technical Communication & Daily Management: Effectively communicate project progress, risks, needed inputs, and technical data to stakeholders and customers through daily management routines.
• Lean, Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to analyze data, close procedural gaps, update standard work, and actively contribute to team-wide productivity initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's of Science Degree in Engineering or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited university or college.
• Basic understanding of solid modeling software and model-based product definition.
• Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience in engineering and/or manufacturing.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States of America is required. We will not provide sponsorship for this role now or in the future.
• Must be able to work on site in Greenville, SC at least 2 days per week. (relocation assistance is available)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
