As a student of the communications team here, you will be an active contributor to internal communications, logistics and planning.

Job Description

What you'll do (Job Responsibilities)

This paid internship with GE Vernova Communications provides valuable exposure to a full array of global communication skills, disciplines, and functions.

• Work closely with the team on-site in Greenville, SC to deliver tangible results across a spectrum of internal communications opportunities.
• Gain experience supporting external communication projects.
• Commit to a one-year tenure in this position.
• Work on-site at our manufacturing facility 2–3 days per week.

What You'll Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Communications or Marketing
• Strong writing skills

What will make you stand out (Desired Qualifications)

• Minimum of 3.0/4.0 GPA (without rounding)
• Proven experience in corporate or internal communications with a strong emphasis on long-form writing and storytelling 
•  Willingness to attend site events to conduct on-site interviews, capture high-quality photography, and produce engaging written features
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in creative design and visual content creation and video editing (e.g., Canva)
• Fundamental understanding of website management to support site updates and maintenance.

This position is also eligible for:

Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
