Position Overview
BRE Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and support modern business applications and data-driven solutions across our technology ecosystem. This role will work across front-end and back-end development, cloud architecture, API design, system integration, and deployment automation, with a strong focus on scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in Azure, Python, JavaScript, and Azure DevOps, along with strong software architecture, back-end design, and deployment pipeline experience. Experience developing Office 365 integrations such as Excel plugins/add-ins and building applications connected to Databricks is required.
This role will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable products that improve workflows, automate processes, and enable better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Python and JavaScript technologies
•    Architect and implement scalable back-end systems, APIs, and services to support internal and business-facing applications
•    Build responsive, intuitive, and maintainable front-end experiences using modern Python and JavaScript frameworks
•    Design and develop RESTful APIs and service-based integrations across enterprise systems
•    Lead application architecture and technical design decisions with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and maintainability
•    Build and support applications on Microsoft Azure, leveraging appropriate cloud-native services and patterns
•    Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support automated builds, testing, deployments, and release management
•    Manage deployment processes across development, test, and production environments
•    Support source control, branching strategies, release governance, and DevOps best practices for application delivery
•    Monitor deployment health, troubleshoot release issues, and continuously improve reliability and speed of delivery
•    Integrate applications with Office 365 tools and workflows, including Excel add-ins/plugins where needed
•    Collaborate with data, analytics, and platform teams to integrate applications with Databricks and related data services
•    Contribute to the design and development of applications that support analytics, automation, and internal productivity use cases
•    Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions
•    Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and contribute to ongoing platform improvement
•    Participate in code reviews, documentation, testing, and engineering best practices across the software development lifecycle
Required Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
•    Strong professional experience in full stack software engineering
•    Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development
•    Strong programming experience in Python and JavaScript
•    Experience building back-end systems using Python and JavaScript frameworks
•    Experience building front-end applications using modern Python and JavaScript frameworks
•    Strong experience designing APIs, services, and system integrations
•    Solid understanding of software architecture, back-end design patterns, and scalable system design
•    Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including repositories, pipelines, and release workflows
•    Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application deployment
•    Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle, environment management, automated testing, and release management
•    Experience with source control, branching strategies, and DevOps best practices
•    Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience developing Office 365 integrations, especially Excel plugins or add-ins
•    Experience with Databricks Apps or building application layers connected to Databricks environments
•    Familiarity with enterprise authentication, authorization, and secure application design
•    Experience working in Azure-based data and analytics ecosystems
•    Experience implementing enterprise-grade DevOps practices, including automated deployments, release approvals, and environment promotion strategies
•    Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation in Azure environments
•    Experience supporting production releases across multiple environments
•    Experience building internal productivity tools, analytics applications, or workflow automation solutions
