Hi there! We are Testlio, a global software testing company with its own freelance network. Our freelancers test apps from companies across the globe. Testlio is a great place for people who value the freedom and flexibility of remote work.

At the moment, we are looking for freelance software testers based in Ireland with various Smart TVs to help us test a streaming app in the months of October and November. 

To participate in this project, you will need to create an account on our platform. Through this account, we can assign you testing tasks. You will be asked to use our website for defect tracking and will receive materials to prepare you for testing.

Requirements

• Age: You have to be at least 18 years old.
• Location: Must be physically located in Ireland during October and November.
• Language: Must at least be comfortable to navigate a streaming app in English. Native/ Bilingual English preferred.
• Availability: 30 minutes for your Testlio account setup. For the actual testing task, we are quite flexible, but we anticipate between 2 to 4 hours of testing depending on the test run. Some test runs may be longer (up to even 12 hours), and we can discuss your availability for each one in advance. We're happy to work together to find a suitable working schedule. 
• Devices: Smart TVs working on Titan OS: Philips TV, Vestel TV, JVC TV
  • Double check that your TV has the right OS, as they may be using different ones. Only Titan OS is in scope.
• Experience: Software testing experience is a plus, but if you are new to testing, we offer free courses to help you learn and grow. We offer a preparatory course that will help you learn more about testing on our website.

What does testing look like?

• Type of testing: Functional testing.
• Type of work: short-term, freelance.
• Examples of tasks:
  • Install the app build on your TV device following provided instructions
  • Execute test cases covering including navigation, playback, login/account behaviour, subtitles, audio, content discovery, localization, live events, and overall functional quality.
  • Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots/recordings
  • Provide feedback on issues found during each run
• Pay rate: The pay rate for this starts at 15 USD/hr.
• Payment: You are paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer.
• We will send you the USD amount, which you can then transfer/convert to EUR if it is more convenient to you.
