The Engagement

We're engaging an independent Copywriter, Pregnancy & Baby to help bring Good Inside to expecting and new parents through compelling, thoughtful copy.

Projects will include paid social, emails to members and non-members, blog posts, editorial content, partnership campaigns, and landing pages. We'll share a brief for each project with the goal, audience, and timeline, and you'll decide how to approach the work.

We're looking for someone who deeply understands this space and has written for it professionally for multiple clients or brands. You know the questions, emotions, and decisions that come with pregnancy and life with a baby, and how to write about them with warmth, clarity, and credibility.

You bring the expertise to take a brief and deliver polished copy using your own process. We care about the results, not how or when you get there.

Project Scope

• Write Across Channels
  Deliver copy for paid social, member and non-member emails, blog posts, editorial content, partnerships, and landing pages. Additional project types can be added by mutual agreement.
• Connect With Expecting and New Parents
  Bring your expertise in pregnancy and early parenthood to each project. Deliver copy that makes parents feel understood, answers real questions, and builds trust without leaning on fear or guilt.
• Own Your Process
  Turn a project brief into finished work using your own research, drafting, and working methods. Ask focused questions up front, then deliver by the agreed deadline.
• Bring Ideas to the Work
  Pitch strong hooks, fresh angles, and thoughtful concepts, drawing on your knowledge of the audience.
• Match the Brand Voice
  Deliver copy that fits Good Inside's voice and brand guidelines. Our experts review content on sensitive or medical topics before publication.
• Revisions and Results
  Each project includes revision rounds based on our consolidated feedback. Where available, we'll share performance data you can use to sharpen future projects.

What We're Looking For

• An experienced copywriter with a strong portfolio in the pregnancy, baby, parenting, or maternal health space. Direct experience writing about pregnancy and babies is essential
• Deeply familiar with the needs, concerns, and everyday experiences of expecting and new parents
• A versatile writer who can move from a paid social hook to an email to a substantive blog post
• An established independent writer who can take a brief and turn it into polished work
• Comfortable scoping projects, setting timelines, and making creative decisions with the information available
• A clear, thoughtful writer who balances empathy and credibility with marketing goals
• Organized and reliable at managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Open to feedback, with strong ownership of your deliverables

Bonus if you:

• Have experience with membership or subscription businesses
• Have written for expert-led brands or translated expert guidance into accessible consumer content
• Have experience using performance insights to improve paid social and email copy

Engagement Details

• Rate: $60–70 per hour, invoiced monthly and paid within 30 days
• Estimated volume: roughly 15–20 hours per week, depending on project flow. This is an estimate, not a set schedule.
• Your own schedule and location, with occasional in-person sessions in Midtown Manhattan when a project calls for it
• A non-exclusive engagement: you're free to work with other clients
