À propos de ce poste Fraud Data Analytics Consultant - Remote from UK then onsite in Kuwait chez Capitex
About the engagement
Capitex is a specialist Financial Crime Compliance talent provider. We are engaging a consultant-level Fraud Data Analyst for a 6-month engagement at the centre of a leading regional bank's 24/7 digital fraud operation - a build-phase environment where the data and analytics layer is being created, not inherited.
This is a 6-month consultancy engagement with a defined delivery model: the first two months are delivered fully remotely from the UK, and from Month 3 the role relocates onsite to the bank's offices in Kuwait City for the remainder of the term. Onsite presence in Kuwait from Month 3 is a firm requirement of the role, not a preference - please only apply if you are genuinely able and willing to relocate for the onsite phase. Working pattern is standard bank hours, Sunday to Thursday, with start-time flexibility for UK-based delivery during the remote phase.
The role
You will be the senior data capability of the fraud operation - a consultant, not a colleague: expected to own the analytics agenda, drive it forward, and mentor the bank's own analysts as you do. The operation runs a modern fraud estate spanning behavioural biometrics on the digital channels, an enterprise card fraud monitoring platform, a newly implemented fraud case management system, and the bank's core and online banking data. Your job is to make that estate speak: correlate data across all of it, find the fraud patterns, and convert what you find into detection.
What you will do
- Query, extract and correlate data across multiple systems and databases - digital channel telemetry, card fraud alerts, case management records, core and online banking data - to identify fraud patterns, emerging typologies and detection gaps.
- Convert analysis into action: build the evidence base for new and tuned detection rules, and deliver concrete rule recommendations to the operation's rule-writers, with measured impact on false positives and detection rates.
- Design and build the dashboards, views and management reporting on rule performance, alert outcomes and fraud losses that the operation's leadership runs on.
- Take a central role in the bank's new Microsoft Fabric data lake programme - designing and building the fraud analytics layer on it over the coming months.
- Mentor and upskill the bank's own analyst team - knowledge transfer is an explicit and valued part of this seat, including through the operation's pairing arrangements.
- Support post-incident and thematic reviews with data deep-dives, working alongside the team's L1/L2 analysts and senior fraud investigator.
Requirements
What we are looking for
- Consultant-level experience in fraud or financial crime data analytics - typically 5+ years - within banking, payments or fintech, with the seniority to own the analytics agenda and advise, not just execute.
- Strong Python and strong SQL - both essential and both tested at screening.
- A quantified track record: losses reduced, false positives cut, detection improved - with your name on the numbers.
- Experience building operational dashboards and management reporting (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent).
- Experience with fraud platform data structures is an advantage, not a requirement - the ability to interrogate unfamiliar systems' output matters more than any named product. Behavioural biometrics or card fraud platform exposure is a plus.
- AML-blended analytics backgrounds are welcome where the data depth is genuine and a sound working understanding of fraud typologies sits alongside it.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, Databricks or similar) is a strong plus given the data lake programme ahead.
- Clear English and the credibility to present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Confirmed availability for an immediate start and genuine willingness to be onsite in Kuwait City from Month 3 to Month 6. A passport with 12+ months' validity is required.

- Competitive all-inclusive monthly consultancy fee, with an additional housing allowance during the onsite phase.
- Flight to Kuwait and visa sponsorship for the onsite phase covered; visa is client-sponsored.

- Fees paid gross in USD with no deductions at source. Kuwait levies no personal income tax; your own tax position depends on your residence and is your responsibility.
- Laptop provided by Capitex; client systems access configured by the bank.
