POSITION SUMMARY:

Execute the Kroger Company’s floor planning process for all departments, divisions, and stores. Positively and measurably impact the Kroger Company’s sales/margins by providing detailed “Customer 1st” fixture plans, implementing updated Facility plans, current merchandising initiatives, and accurate location attributes on all floorplans, including new and remodel stores as well as any other store changes.  Communicate internally and externally to ensure alignment on goals and objectives for each category and department for every store.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least two days per week based on your team’s schedule.
• Create and maintain floorplans using Blue Yonder Floor Planning software in conjunction with Kroger store fixture plans.
• Develop expertise in floorplan location attributes and fixture types for all store formats and departments to enable Kroger to reach their sales and store operations efficiency goals.
• Execute every step of the floor planning fixturing and location attributing process to align with important dates, managing initial build work for new and remodel store projects based on a shared timeline. Communicate with multiple teams across Kroger and internal Floor Planning team on progress of projects.
• Assist team members in quality assurance process as needed.
• Develop “best practices” on an on-going basis and constantly contribute to enhancing the process.
• Stay informed in all facets of the grocery industry through both internal and external sources; stay current on those issues that most impact floorplans.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Degree in Business, Statistics or Economics preferred
• 2 year of Kroger space management experience preferred
• 2-3 years of merchandising or data analysis experience preferred
• Proficient Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience using JDA software; the ability to read and understand floor plans, planograms, and fixture specifications preferred
• Knowledge of the KOMPASS process preferred
• Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web-based applications
• Strong leadership skills
• Capability to collaborate with others and contribute effectively to a team
• Expert organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Ability to effectively craft and deliver a message verbally to any audience including senior level executives
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task

MINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

• Must be able to:
  • Remain standing/sitting for several hours at a time
  • Lift 10-30 lbs. occasionally
