Job Description
- Create, enhance and manage financial framework and models to assess macro and market segments, as well as fixed income securities based on quantitative and qualitative factors
- Perform comprehensive top-down research and analysis of global economic trends and risks, as well as yield curve, credit and relative value analysis to identify key investable themes, trends and opportunities across global fixed income markets, including government bonds, corporate bonds, securitized products, and derivatives
- Produce leading investment content and recommendations in line with the house view
- Produce daily publications, including ad-hoc specials
- Present and discuss views in regional investment committee
- Present concise, pitch-style content with trade/investment opportunity edge
- to Investment Counselors
- at weekly market meetings to the Relationship managers
- Maintain global fixed income investment universe, watchlist, focus lists
- Respond to fixed income-related RM and client queries. Participate in client calls and meetings
- Build track-record of investment advice, while balancing good investment performance, client interest and commercial interests of the bank
- Keep up with regulatory changes and market developments impacting the investment landscape
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years related working experience (i.e. buy/sell side), at least 5+ years in Private Banking industry, preferably with fixed income advisory experiences
- Degree or above in business disciplines
- Dynamic and outgoing personality with excellent communication skill (written & spoken English and Cantonese/Mandarin is a must)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
- Sound computer knowledge in PC skills – Excel & PowerPoint expertise to support presentation activities
